How are you taking care of business?  The state standards have been updated, there are new courses to teach, and the only thing constant in business education is “change.”  I encourage you to join your professional organizations to keep up with the changes being made and to be better prepared to take care of business at your school. 
    SCBEA provides you with a great convention which gives you time to network and learn new ideas for your classroom.  The 2011 SCBEA Convention is being planned now.  If you would like to be a coordinator of a session or a presenter, please email Lynn Keane at lkeane@mailbox.sc.edu.  More information about the convention will be on the Web soon. The convention will be held at Myrtle Beach from February 17-19, 2010.

    NBEA provides you with many benefits and resources such as liability insurance, the NBEA Yearbook, the Business Education Forum, the Keying In Newsletter, and the opportunity to meet business educators across the United States.  You can also join ISBE – the International Society for Business Education – and expand your educator network and learn more about business education from an international perspective.  NBEA will be held April 19-23 in New Orleans, LA and President Madge Gregg is from the southern regions.  ISBE will be held in Australia from July 18-23.
